Breaking Bad Pilot

What a wonderful spring break it has been. I have been able to sleep in and watch lots of movies, so much fun! My friends took this class last semester and watched Breaking Bad for there television assignment. They would always talk about it, so that's the real reason I chose to watch this show so  I could be in the loop of my friends.
So far I love the show I think I'm on episode four now but let me just give you the run down on one, which is actually the pilot.
Walter white is our main guy. He's a chemistry teacher who due to an unexpected trip to the hospital found out that he has lung cancer and has about a year to live. Walter also has a wife, s son with a disability living at home, and another little bun in the oven. Walter knows that if he dies now he is not leaving his family with much.
Walter get a burst of confidence quits his job (at the car wash), and teams up with a former student who's occupation is now a dealer and cooker of meth.  Walter decides to put his skills and gift to work and make a little bit better salary then a teacher. Seems innocent, except he is now cooking the meth, and he gets him self in to a little bit of trouble. Right now he has killed a guy and is standing out in the desert in his underwear.

I don't know a lot about the drug systems in our country, but I can better understand where Walter was coming from. I can not speak out of experience, but I think that learning you have a terminal illness would spark something in you. We all know what it is like to want the best for someone, and knowing that you might die before they can get that is terrifying. I think that Walter is doing what he can to leave the best for his family.

  2. Hey Andrea
Good start on your blog. You are missing part of this assignment. You did not discuss the theme of the show or how it applies to issues biblically. Go back and re-read the blogging assignment, okay?
